As far as Malinche/Starbase 386 crew overlap, here is a list:

Capt Kersare (Mali) - WO1 Kilana Nira (CEO), Lt Mikaela Breland (Damage Control, Shipyard Foreman), various NPCs
Lt Cmdr Barrett (Mali) - Lt JG Quinn Scott (COO)
Lt Cmdr Peters (Mali) - Capt James Lange (CO), various NPCs
Lt Schulz/Lt JG Masterson (Mali) - Cmdr Richardson (XO), various NPCs
Lt JG Rho (Mali) - Lt JG Kaylin Kenah (CDO), NPCs

So, if you want to JP with someone from 386, either PM the corresponding Mali person or ask me for contact info.

Some info/suggestions for various departments (no need to limit yourself to these, but they are ideas):

Command - work with 386 personnel for Summit

Intel - Brief 386 personnel on knowledge of the Revok/Senator & help keep an eye on them

Ops/Engineering - coordinate with 386 staff on work being done to Mali

Sec/Tac - bring new Sec/Tac chief aboard, otherwise, same as Intel (also potential discussion with Derek and/or Kersare/Zeral about Derek joining Sec/Tac)

Science - continue with side plot started in last mission, possible counseling or investigation into Sentry

Medical - bring new CMO aboard, get settled into sickbay, possible medical checkups for new staff & meet dept members

Counseling - possible psych evals for new crew, continue to work with Derek or others who need counseling, admin work with command staff

Is there a time jump from the last mission?

No. Day 7 of the last mission (per my wrap up post there) is Station Day 1.

I assume the Battle of Altorus has resulted in some casualties on both sides.

Also, is there a large body of water near the station? I have a feeling Aaron will want to take the Tenochtitlan out for a spin.

Yes, it did...

And Starbase 386 orbits Aldani 4, an M-Class planet that has recently been re-colonized after being abandoned during the Dominion War. Surface features have not been fully established, but there are at least a couple of oceans, some seas, and lots of lakes...
