There was something about the steam filled crawl space that bugged Chief Petty Officer Brice Thomas; he had a feeling it had to do with the fact that he had just fixed that particular problem a few days ago...only to have it break down again. His CO was not a patient man...not that Brice blamed him, he was starting ot get annoyed with the quirks that the Payne was developing. Then again the ship was an older Shelly class carrier that had been converted to a tender...and a fine one at that.

It was his job to make sure that the ships of the 5th fleet got what they needed weapons wise adn other supplies. It was something that Brice too great pride in. He also served as the ships chief engineer, which proved to be a massive headache on occasion. Currently, they kept blowing EPS valves all over the secondary grid...not something life threatening but VERY annoying.

Crawling out of the work area, he put the access hatch back on and then grabbed his toolkit. Making his way through the corridors of the transport he came back to engineering, noting that nothing else ahd gone red on the status board.
