== USS Malinche, Ragna's Quarters ==
== 1300 Hours, Day 7 ==
Marcus shook his head again. He remembered his Academy days when he'd go out with his buddies and do the same: drink until he didn't remember what they did. They did it for no other reason that it was "the thing" to do. He remembered as they entered their 3rd and 4th years, they spent less time drinking and more time in the simulators. Unfortunately, Jonathan had become one of THOSE cadets that spent every spare minute in simulators with his friends. He felt he was better off
because of it.
Ragna: *seeing the expression on Marcus' face* I'm sorry, I'll let you know as soon as I remember, sir.
Marcus: Just don't make a habit of it, cadet. Don't forget that you're representing this ship whenever you're out.
<< tag Ragna >>
Jonathan curtly nodded at the cadet and turned, stepping out of the room and into the corridor. He turned and started away from the section of the ship dedicated to personal quarters. He neared the Turbolift and stepped in, commanding the lift to take him to Tactical Astrometrics. The short ride to Deck 7 ended with the lift slowly coming to a stop and the familiar sound as the doors slid open. Marcus marched out of the Turbolift and rounded the corner and entered the large room that was essentially his office. Standing in the center of the room were his two officers: Ensigns Rachel Lyran (NPC) and K'vhell (NPC).
Marcus: Let me be the first to formally welcome you aboard the Malinche. Now, I'm sure Starfleet will be passing along our orders shortly and we have a lot of work to do between now and then. Lyran, I want you to run a level 4 diagnostic followed by an efficiency report on the
weapons array. K'vhell, I want an efficiency report on the shield generators, and make sure to include theoretical limits for multiple scenarios. I'll be preparing my battle readiness report for the captain if you need me.
The two ensigns moved their separate ways to do their work while Jonathan moved to the center console and began his report. There was no time for shoreleave now, it was time to work.
