Promotions

Promotions, either in rank or position, will be based on the following:

-Regular, quality posting (Per the Post Writing Guide)

-Contributions to missions (In Character) - This is keeping with realism. Your character wouldn't get promoted for doing little or nothing on a ship. Be sure your character is contributing to the mission, helping out when needed, and hopefully taking extra initiative.

Promotions are given out at the end of a mission (generally during Shoreleave or at the very beginning of the next mission). Keep in mind that it generally takes the least amount of time to be promoted from the lower rank grades and longer to be promoted from the higher rank grades. I will do my best as CO to give out awards when appropriate, in general, and to help fill the time before a character can get promoted to a higher rank grade.

Also, keep in mind that I can only promote people so far. The XO can have, at most, the rank of Commander, DHs cannot be higher ranked than the XO, and everyone else in a Department cannot be higher ranked than the DH. I certainly don't want to hold people at a certain rank, but I also don't want to promote character after every mission, then be unable to promote anyone after that.
