Posting Requirements

Created by Captain Isabel Kersare on Friday August 2, 2024 @ 12:33am

On the Malinche, all crewmembers are required to post at least 4 times per month. It is highly encouraged that crewmembers write more than 4 posts, but is not required. These posts must be considered acceptable (see the Post Writing Guide) to count towards the 4 posts.

It is preferred that crewmembers attempt to post approximately once a week, rather than getting all their posts in at the beginning or end of the month. This helps keep the mission flowing. Remember that at times other crewmembers may be waiting for your character to accomplish something so the plot may move forward; please show respect by doing your best to posting regularly.

Posts can be written in the Mission/Shoreleave, Character Background, or Personal Log areas of the forum.
**At least 2 of the 4 posts must be in either the Mssion/Shoreleave or Personal Log areas of the forum. If a player is on LOA part of the month, half of their posts must be from those areas. This is to ensure that everyone stays involved with the current mission and is interacting with the rest of the crew. In addition, at least 2 of the 4 posts (or half, if the player is LOA part of the month) should be written using your main character rather than a PNPC or NPC.

If a crewmember needs an LOA at any point in the month, please notify the CO (see LOA Policy). LOAs will be taken into account at the end of the month when posts are tallied.

Any crewmember who has not met the required 4 posts per month (or an adjusted amount if LOA was taken) will be given a warning. After two consecutive months of not meeting the posting requirements, the crewmember may be removed.

Notes
-Crewmembers can keep track of how they're doing at meeting the post requirements by checking on the Malinche website's Posting Report link (Posting Report).
-The CO will send a reminder so crewmembers will know where they stand. Otherwise, feel free to ask or check the Posting link.
-If you need ideas on what to post or someone to JP with, it is YOUR responsibility to notify the CO or XO. We're more than happy to assist, but can't do so if we don't know that assistance is needed.
